Add the premiere issue of Joe Hill's acclaimed horror imprint to your collection with Basketful of Heads #1, published by DC Comics under the DC Black Label / Hill House Comics umbrella! Written by bestselling horror author Joe Hill (Locke & Key, NOS4A2), featuring interior artwork by Leomacs (Lucifer), colors by Eisner Award-winner Dave Stewart, and a chilling card stock variant cover by artist Reiko Murakami.

The upper left corner displays the JOE HILL PRESENTS HILL HOUSE COMICS banner in red and white typography. The lower left corner features the circular DC BLACK LABEL logo, $4.99 / AGES 17+ price and age rating, VARIANT COVER marker, and the Direct Sales UPC barcode box. Across the bottom right corner, white text highlights the title BASKETFUL OF HEADS 1 above creator credits for JOE HILL • LEOMACS • DAVE STEWART.

Reiko Murakami's haunting variant artwork features a close-up portrait of main protagonist June Branch shrouded in an eerie blue glow, holding up a massive magical axe etched with glowing red rune-like patterns.

In this debut issue launching the Hill House Comics line, June Branch spends a stormy night at the Brody Island home of her boyfriend Liam and the local sheriff. When escaped convicts invade the house and kidnap Liam, June equips herself with an ancient, mystical Viking axe—only to discover that anyone decapitated by the weapon remains conscious, talkative, and alive.

This unslabbed raw comic issue is in top-tier collectible condition (estimated VF/NM 9.0 or better), featuring clean edges, sharp corners, a flat spine, heavy premium card stock, and vivid colors—making it an essential key issue for Joe Hill fans, horror comic enthusiasts, and DC Black Label collectors.
