Empyre #4 — Jim Cheung Cover (2020) | Avengers: Fantastic Four

Empyre #4 is the fourth chapter of Marvel's six-issue Empyre event, bringing together the Avengers and Fantastic Four as the Kree-Skrull alliance and the Cotati conflict reaches a critical point. The issue is written by Al Ewing and Dan Slott, with interior art by Valerio Schiti and colors by Marte Gracia.

The dramatic Jim Cheung cover features She-Hulk, the Thing, Mantis and Swordsman prominently in the foreground, with the heroes surrounded by intense action and destruction. She-Hulk appears to roar in battle while the massive orange rocky form of the Thing dominates the center. The story itself follows the heroes as the Kree/Skrull flagship prepares to deploy the Pyre, a weapon capable of detonating the Sun. Meanwhile, the Cotati invasion continues on Earth, and the heroes are forced to confront betrayal from both enemies and unexpected allies.
