Loki #2 (2023) – Dustin Nguyen Cover – The Liar: Chapter Two

Uncanny X-Men #17 is a dramatic Marvel Comics issue from Matthew Rosenberg's 2019 run, carrying the legacy numbering #639. The story begins the “We Have Always Been” storyline and focuses heavily on the X-Men dealing with loss, grief, anger, and the consequences of the team's recent battles.

Loki must confront the consequences of his former life as the God of Lies and find a way to reclaim the dangerous relic before it causes even greater destruction.

The story blends Norse mythology, dark fantasy, Marvel superhero action and Loki's mischievous personality, while setting up the larger mystery surrounding the scattered pieces of his ancient creation.
