Thor Giant-Size Finale #1 is a Marvel Comics one-shot written by J. Michael Straczynski, serving as the finale of his acclaimed Thor run. The main story, “Full Circle,” continues the saga of Thor, Loki, Balder and the Asgardians as their new home in Latveria becomes the setting for another major confrontation.

This edition features the dramatic Simone Bianchi Variant Cover, one of two major alternate covers for the issue, alongside the David Finch variant. Bianchi's painted artwork gives the cover a dark, mythological and atmospheric appearance.

The cover depicts Thor seated or kneeling on a rocky surface, wearing heavy dark Asgardian armor with a flowing red cape. His long blond hair and beard are illuminated by flashes of brilliant white lightning. Mjolnir rests beside him on the ground, while Thor looks intensely toward the right side of the composition.

Behind Thor is a surreal, towering Asgardian landscape or cityscape, rendered in green, turquoise, purple and blue tones. Lightning tears across the stormy sky, creating a powerful contrast against the dark armor and rocky foreground. The atmospheric painting gives Thor an imposing yet contemplative presence rather than depicting him in a conventional battle pose.

The large blue-and-white GIANT-SIZE THOR FINALE logo dominates the upper portion of the cover, while the upper-left corner carries the Marvel Variant Edition marking. The lower-left barcode box identifies the issue as a Direct Edition and shows the 00131 suffix associated with the Bianchi variant.

The one-shot's principal story is “Full Circle,” written by J. Michael Straczynski. The issue explores the fate of the Asgardians in Latveria, Loki's schemes, Doctor Doom's agenda and the continuing struggle surrounding Balder and Thor. The publication also includes material connected to earlier Thor stories and a reprint of Journey into Mystery #83.
