Venom #38 — Cafu Cover (2024)

Venom #38 (2024) is a Marvel Comics Venom War tie-in featuring the continuing time-traveling adventures of Old Man Venom, Dylan Brock. The issue is written by Torunn Grønbekk, with interior art by Germán Peralta and Cafu, colors by Frank D'Armata, and cover art by Cafu. It was released on October 9, 2024.

The striking cover uses a vibrant cosmic palette of purple, pink, orange, blue, white and gold. Doctor Strange dominates the upper center, shown in his mystical blue costume with his hands raised as though casting a spell. Behind him is a large red-orange magical form resembling the shape of the Eye of Agamotto.

Venom appears prominently in the lower center, displaying his characteristic black symbiote body, enormous white spider emblem, sharp teeth and elongated tongue. Additional shadowy figures occupy the lower corners, while a small standing Venom figure appears near the upper left. Glowing magical energy connects the various elements, giving the cover a surreal, supernatural appearance.

The issue continues Old Man Venom's time quest as Dylan Brock travels to the realm of Chthon, one of Marvel's darkest supernatural entities, with Doctor Strange involved in the dangerous encounter. The story is explicitly identified as a Venom War event tie-in.
