War of Kings: Ascension #1 — Paul Pelletier Variant Cover (2009)

The story focuses on Chris Powell, the young hero known as Darkhawk, and the mysterious Talon. It explores the shocking connection between Darkhawk, the Shi'ar, and a larger cosmic secret, eventually leading toward a confrontation involving Annihilus' forces in the Negative Zone.
