War of the Realms #5 — Arthur Adams Cover (2019)

War of the Realms #5 — Arthur Adams Cover (2019) is the fifth issue of Marvel's six-issue War of the Realms event series.

The cover presents a huge, action-packed battle scene in a city under siege. At the center, Black Panther stands prominently on the back of a massive monstrous creature, leading a group of Marvel heroes into battle. Surrounding him are Iron Man, Captain Marvel, Deadpool, Ghost Rider, She-Hulk, Spider-Man and other heroes, all preparing to fight the supernatural forces invading Midgard.

The enormous creature beneath the heroes has a dark, armored body, glowing purple markings and a terrifying mouth filled with sharp fangs. An army of undead warriors and monsters rises from the bottom of the scene, creating a sense of overwhelming conflict. Bright energy blasts, weapons, flames and magical effects fill the composition, while skyscrapers in the background emphasize that the battle is taking place in a devastated urban environment.

The top of the cover features the large THE WAR OF THE REALMS logo surrounded by mystical circular symbols, while the issue number #5 appears at upper right. The cover also carries the Marvel branding, Rated T+ designation and Bonus Digital Edition notice.

The story is “The World Tree Is Burning,” Chapter Five of the War of the Realms. Malekith's forces have transformed Midgard into a battlefield, with the dead joining his army. Black Panther calls upon Earth's heroes to make a final stand, while the fate of the Ten Realms depends on what happens next.
