Web of Venom: Funeral Pyre #1 Declan Shalvey Cover (Raw VF/NM) - Marvel Comics (2019)

Add an essential precursor to Absolute Carnage to your collection with Web of Venom: Funeral Pyre #1, published by Marvel Comics! Written by master symbiote scribe Cullen Bunn (Venom, Absolute Carnage: Scream), featuring interior artwork by Alberto Alburquerque and Joshua Cassara, colors by Jay David Ramos, and striking cover art by Declan Shalvey.

The upper left corner displays the iconic red MARVEL box logo alongside issue marker 1. Across the top, the title header presents stylized spiderweb lettering reading WEB OF VENOM above bold yellow text for FUNERAL PYRE. Creator credits at the lower left list BUNN • ALBURQUERQUE • CASSARA • RAMOS. The bottom left corner also contains the $4.99 US / RATED T+ price and age rating, the "Bonus Digital Edition" banner, and the Direct Sales UPC barcode box.

Declan Shalvey's atmospheric cover illustration spotlights Andi Benton (former host of the Mania symbiote) bursting with hellfire energy from her eyes and hands as jagged red symbiote tendrils wrap around her, all set against a massive shadowy symbiote mouth framing the background.

In this oversized one-shot, Carnage continues his ruthless hunt across New York City for former symbiote hosts to rip out their codices and awaken the symbiote god Knull. When Carnage sets his sights on Andi Benton, she is forced to unleash her dark hellfire powers in a desperate fight for survival that leads directly into the opening events of Absolute Carnage.

This unslabbed raw comic issue is in top-tier collectible condition (estimated VF/NM 9.0 or better), featuring clean edges, sharp corners, a flat spine, and rich colors—making it a key addition for Venom collectors, Carnage fans, and Marvel symbiote lore enthusiasts.
